Fire Words app for iPhone and iPad
As the saying goes: a word is worth 10,000 points. At least, if the word is long enough! Find as many words as you can by connecting the letters on the board, but with each word found the board gets hotter. If a letter is hot enough to burn, the game ends. So take your time and make each word count!

Great Boggle-type fun. Game seems to slow/hang iPod touch as you play. Good fun!
This is such a fun game. Best money I spent at the app store. I love word games and hope you make more.

Simple to get into but complex to beat. Not a timed/rushed experience so you can think and enjoy.
If youre a fan of Boggle or other games where you must forms words from random letters, you cant miss with Fire Words. The great thing about Fire Words is that it motivates you to use all of the letters because if you dont, theyll catch on fire, and the game will end. The game also uses the touch interface very nicely -- just drag your finger across adjacent letter tiles to form a word. Perhaps the only cool thing they could have added would be the option to shake your iPhone to randomize the tiles.
This is almost just like the Yahoo game "Bookworm". Very addicting...lots and lots of fun!!!
Some bad moments
All these changes - heat on shuffle, accelerating difficulty, should be options. Changing the rules back and forth is annoying, so I stopped the upgrades.
This game is extraordinarily difficult, unreasonably so, for a very simple reason: there are almost NO VOWELS. Out of the entire screen, you sometimes only have 4-5 vowels. Its ridiculous!
The quality of this app suffers in comparison to so many other iPhone apps. The gameplay is okay--a poor cousin of the online game Bookworm. Bookworm offers better gameplay because it uses a better method for bringing new letters into the game. Bookworm also offers better visual feedback of your progress in the game. Fire Words just seems to end without warning if youre not keeping track in your head about when your tiles will expire. Id like to see the game reworked so gameplay can go on longer.
What needs to be done to get to level 2? It stays on level 1 no matter how many words I make.
The game play is slower due to the pause Ana animation after creating a word. Sure it only last around 2-3 seconds but it still disrupts gameplay. Moving on to the next level (now called Acts) raises points to shuffle...
...just dont update. Keep the older version if you can.
This was a great game until this update. Now it’s slowwww due to unneeded animations and pop-up ads. This is a bad thing.
